Need a quiet, cool-running illuminator for museum/gallery lighting or small projects? Tungsten halogen illuminators are the ultimate in low-voltage fiber optic lighting.
This type of illuminator is based on the tungsten halogen cycle, which gives uniform light output until the lamp is near the end of its operating life. Depending on your chosen lamp wattage, the typical tungsten halogen lamp lasts from 1,500 to 4,000 hours.
They are low voltage and low in UV output, making them relatively cool running and quiet, making them ideal for lighting inside gallery and museum cabinets. The cool operation of these illuminators means our 50W and 75W models can be supplied as fanless, though this means a shorter lamp life.
Halogen illuminators can also be mains-dimmed, and are available in white light or decorative effect options. A popular choice with our customers is an integral manual dimmer with a dimming control on the illuminator unit.
