Film-goers can relax and unwind in the plush surroundings of the exclusive Director's Hall auditorium whilst watching the newest blockbuster on the big screen. As an added bonus, those who book tickets for the intimate theatre also benefit from access to the private Director's Lounge, where they can sip on champagne and stylish cocktails or grab a bite to eat.

Multidisciplinary lighting design consultancy INTO Lighting, was chosen by Showcase Cinemas to create a destination bar and restaurant area whilst also enlivening large windowless spaces within the Derby venue. UFO's fiber optic lighting systems were chosen by INTO Lighting to create the dramatic lighting effects within the bar area.

Twenty two large glass lightbulbs have been suspended from the ceiling and lit with individual strands of fiber to create an eye catching focal point within the bar area. The bottle wall behind the bar area has also been illuminated with fiber optics for a really dramatic effect and is a source of much discussion amongst guests. Tailored control systems have been employed that allow the lights to be dimmed after dark for a more relaxing ambience.
